Celine Dion is one of the most well known and recognizable figures in the entertainment world. For many years she has been dazzling fans with impressive on stage performances, and a voice to die for. With all of that being said, Dion is only 39 years old. It is safe to say that she has many more years of performing in front of her.
In addition to being a singer, Dion is also a talented actress and songwriter. To go along with all of her fame, she has even taken the time out of her busy schedule to raise a family. In today’s day and age of money, it is refreshing to come across somebody who is just as interested in taking care of a family.
During the 1980’s, Dion began to gain recognition for her vocals. In fact, she caught her first big break in 1982 when she won the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival. By 1986, she was signed by Sony Records; one of the biggest names in the industry.
When it comes to variety, Dion is at the height of the industry. She has been successful in several genres including pop, rock, soul, and gospel. When it comes down to it, it is safe to say that she could excel at any type of music imaginable.
In early 2007, Sony announced that Dion had sold in excess of 200 million albums since begin signed in the 80’s. As you can imagine, this makes her one of the most successful women artists of all time.
A few of Dion’s most notable singles include The Power of Love, Because You Loved Me, All by Myself, The Reason, My Heart Will Go On, and I Drove All Night among many others.
Despite being born into little money, Dion has used her talent and business acumen to make a name for herself. When speaking of the best female artists of all time, it would be hard to leave Celine Dion off the list.
